We all had a great day out at the De La Warr yesterday. We go there regular in the summer with our young kids for the good free music and you lot certainly went down a treat with us all. Lovely stuff indeed, thankyou so much. Hope you enjoy listening to the flowers in the wildwood cd on your travels here. Wishing you all a great UK Tour and warm welcomes wherever you go. Best Wishes.

Before today we'd never heard of you, but decided to give you a try. Well, by the blue sea, under a blue sky and wheeling seagulls outside the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill today (2nd August), we had such a good time, enjoying the songs and your truly phenomenal instrumental playing. Extraordinary! What a talented trio. Best of luck for more success and we'll follow your progress and buy more of your CDs. Hope to see you back at Bexhill - come back and entertain us as often as you like.

I just wanted to say (again) how amazing I thought your show was last night at the Cactus Cafe. I spoke with you (Jan and Melissa) briefly after Lissa's show, when I bought a Maybelle's shirt (which I am wearing as I type this). Can't you all move to Austin? Please.

Gene Warner

April 20, 2009

Was fortunate to see you at Sam's Burger joint in San Antonio. Forty years in the music business in Texas, and I've seen a lot of great bluegrass bands. No one has yet come close to the energy and talent I saw you gals produce. I expect to see you at the top. What a treat! Gene Warner

Saw ya'll at the Mucky Duck, 4/19/09. Great show! Katy Rose was wondering who wrote "Ya'll Come". It was Arlie Duff. He was teaching school and coaching until he wrote the country classic, "Y'all come" (originally, it was titled "You All Come").

Arlie Duff, was known as the "Singing School Teacher." His recording on Starday of "Y'all Come," was the toast of the South back then and its popularity spread far and wide. One of the first name artists to record it was a Decca recording by Bing Crosby. Also, of course, Bill Monroe.

Absolutely wonderful set at South 40 Music Fest last weekend! You women are awesome!
Really liked the good humor & open-minded musical selections-enjoying your CD-certainly it's no match to the live show of "christian girlfriend(s), Coney Island bands", or flowing fiddling, pickin & pluckin'.
Katy Rose-Devil's Gap left me truly transfixed.

Looking forward to seeing the group in Mt. View, AR on Oct 8th. Mt. View is famous for it's free "sitting 'round Court Square at all times of the day" playing blue grass and other types of old time music (note: bring an instrument or come sing). Lots of musical production shows to see plus beautiful Ozark screnery. Mt. View is laid back, has very low crime rate, and the town folk are exceptionally friendly. I'd like to invite everyone to not only come to see The Maybelles but stay awhile. And while you're here ask about Tiffany Turner and watch her brillant performance on the guitar and banjo on the square or at the Ozark Folk Center, a state park. Come see us.

Dear ladies:
I had the great pleasure of hearing and seeing you perform at Superfine a few Sundays ago. I was sitting at a front table with Simone Ellis, and my buddies Simon Pettet and Joshua Walsh.
What an exquisite incredible delight!
I would like to send you a book that my foundation (The Golda Foundation) just published about Vali Myers. She was a great artist and a fierce and magnificent woman. I need your mailing address.
I listen to your CD all the time.
Thank you so much for one of the most enjoyable and memorable afternoons that I can recall.
All the best.
